Three Springs of Daytona Receives High Marks

Florida Department of Juvenile Justice auditors recently awarded Three Springs of Daytona with a quality rating of 84, the highest rating given by the office under new state guidelines.

All juvenile justice program in the State of Florida are audited on an annual basis. Areas examined during an audit include program management and accountability, residential community, clinical and case management services, healthcare services and food services. Each area, or “standard,” is graded on a scale of 1-10 with a highest possible overall score of 100.

“The score is preliminary at this point and may not be finalized for a few weeks,” said Mike Tomczak, Group Administrator, “but we feel very good about what the auditors had to say about our program.””

Preliminary feedback from the auditors was extremely positive as they remarked that Daytona is one of the best programs they have ever visited.
