For the past 20 years, the staff at Duck River has created an educational therapeutic program that has taught many young men lessons that will shape their lives forever. Over that time, much has changed in our society. Many parents and referral sources have shared with us a need for a more comprehensive program and educational environments to meet their growing challenges.

After careful consideration, Three Springs has decided to close down the Duck River campus and relocate the program to Paint Rock Valley located in Trenton, Alabama, just outside of Huntsville. As we direct our resources to the Paint Rock facility, we will begin to develop a new generation of outdoor therapeutic programs for both boys and girls. Our plan is to enhance the clinical and educational services we offer as well as make enhancements to the physical environment on the campus. We believe this development will strengthen our ability to benefit the children and families that we serve.

Dr. Mark Horner has recently joined Three Springs as V.P. of Private Programs and will lead the effort. Horner will be responsible for program development, clinical supervision and training at all outdoor therapeutic programs as well as the Auldern Academy in Siler City, NC.

“Our highest priority is the care of our students and families during this time of change,” said Gary Saliba, CEO, Three Springs. “We will be working hard with our families, their referring professionals and educational consultants and our employees to make this transition as smooth as possible.”
