Academics
The time an adolescent spends at Three Springs Englishton Park is traditionally a period of academic gain, which is significant to your child’s overall growth and success.
Residents of Englishton Park participate in an accredited school program licensed by the State of Indiana, wherein all teachers hold Indiana teaching certifications. A year-round school with an academic program based on the Indiana State Course Requirements curriculum offers educational opportunity for each resident as a part of his individualized treatment plan. Students may also earn additional credits through successful program participation.
Upon admission to the program, teachers administer the Woodcock-Johnson achievement test to each student in order to evaluate academic assets or deficiencies. Once evaluated, a complete individualized study curriculum is implemented, thereby optimizing the resident/student’s educational experience.
Special Education services are also provided where needed following strict guidelines set forth by the Indiana State Department of Special Education. (As above)
At Englishton Park students earn course credits which are transferable to his next academic setting. Classes taught at Englishton Park meet all Indiana academic standards. Graduation from Three Springs School is also possible with an opportunity to take the SAT and ACT exams, and the Indiana High School Graduation Exam. Middle school students also participate the SAT 10 and the Indiana Reading and Math Test (IRMT). Alternately, Englishton Park provides GED instruction/preparation and, if appropriate, vocational exploration.
