Activities

Three Springs Englishton Park is firmly committed to the belief that each student is capable of learning, and will learn when provided with an appropriate educational opportunity.

Skills development training, adventure-based programming, life skills training, drug awareness education, sports, and experiential activities are an integral part of the overall program.

Through skills development training, team building, and adventure-based programming adolescents are given the opportunity to develop a positive work ethic, increase self-discipline, and acquire increased self-esteem.

Life skills training provides an assortment of stress-reducing and life-enhancing strategies to keep students felling emotionally and physically balanced. Focus topics may include socialization skills, stress management, anger management, communication skills, values clarification and assertiveness training.

Englishton Park offers an array of adventure-based and experiential activities. These exercises include cultural enrichment, therapeutic outdoor activities, arts and crafts, community service, and field trips.

Specifically, experiential activities include low and high ropes courses training, which are considered “challenge by choice” opportunities.

Community service is also an integral part of the Englishton Park program. All residents participate in helping and developing community service projects at Englishton Park and in the surrounding community. Examples of such projects include county litter cleanup, cleaning and maintaining city parks, preserving and maintaining a local museum, and assisting elderly members of the community.
