Three Springs’ New Beginnings program for girls has received three year CARF accreditation. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has determined that New Beginnings substantially meets internationally recognized standards. CARF accreditation confirms that an organization has made a commitment to continually enhance the quality of its services and programs, and its focus is on consumer satisfaction.
According to Richard Block, VP of Public Programs, “Our program at New Beginnings has set high standards in the treatment of young girls in need of intensive residential services. Through the hard work of Dr. Barbara Dorsett, her staff and a progressive evidenced-based gender specific program model, we have achieved our CARF accreditation. We will continue to strive to be the best provider of these services to troubled young girls in Northern Alabama.”
New Beginnings program for girls is located in the Owens Cross Roads community of Huntsville, Alabama. The program provides therapeutic services and educational services in a residential setting for girls between the ages of 12 and 18 who require a secure setting and structured environment. Programming addresses behavioral and emotional issues while assisting girls in gaining skills that can lead to fulfilling, community-minded and responsible lives.
Girls are referred to the program from various public and community-based agencies. Since 1993, Three Springs has been operating programs for the public sector in Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Arizona, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
