Three Springs of North Carolina is located on 290 wooded acres just 17 miles from Chapel Hill - deep in the heart of the Tar Heel country. This beautiful setting is the foundation of an environment where adolescents struggling with behavioral and emotional issues can begin to safely discover their potential.

The main campus consists of administrative and admissions offices, a dining hall, laundry/shower facility, classrooms, health care areas and family service offices.

The program is licensed to serve up to 72 boys and girls ages 12–17.

Campsites

Boys and girls live in separate campsites with live in groups of 12 in cabins heated by wood-burning stoves. Each campsite is equipped with a privy and a C&E (cooking and eating) building. The campsites are lighted at night by generators and water is supplied by a well. Awake Staff working from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. ensure continual supervision of residents at each site.

Other Amenities

• Three acre pond for fishing and swimming
• Ten acre recreation field including baseball field, basketball court, football field, soccer pitch and volleyball court.
